Feeling down :(
So my job ends this month and I've been applying for jobs out the wazoo and NOTHING! I mean geeze, I feel like people see that I'm educated and automatically run for the hills. I really wanted a job out at a plant in the area and the HR manager really liked me. I went in for an interview for admin asst to the safety dept. Well the interview went awesome! I got immediate replies to my thank you letters. I was very confident, and guess what! I didn't get the job! I was 2nd runner to the position. So I got an email a day later for the HR manager about another job, went in 2 weeks later to interview. Have been waiting 2 weeks to hear back from that interview and guess what?!! ANOTHER rejection. WTF!! The HR manager called me to apologize personally. He said that I should have gotten ONE of those jobs. That I am more than qualified but they weren't expecting the other person that applied to have additional skills that were required. Apparently he really likes me because he told me there might be a 3rd opening in the next week or 2. He was really upset that I wasn't hired and said that if I still wanted to give them a chance he would forward my resume to the next supervisor first and tell him I was one of the top people for the past 2 FREAKING jobs that I have applied to there. UGH I'm so frustrated and upset. I have less than 2 weeks before I am unemployed! This might give me time to work more on my sewing but I have to spend money to make money and I won't have any money to spend on supplies and I really need a serger to get started. I could use zig zag but its not as profession IMO. I'm so BUMMED!! I had an interview today at a university for an adviser position. It pays alot less than what I'm making now, I'm not sure what their max pay would be for starting out, but it's 10k less a year if I get the minimum pay AND I would still have to drive to victoria!! Not that my car is a gas guzzler but I'm still spending $70 or more a week on gas. I just can't catch a break. I've got all my friends and family praying for me and I've been pray myself several times a day. I just don't know what else to do. I know there is a plan for me. I just don't know what it is. Hoping to get a call back from one of the plants soon. Until then, I'm going to lock myself in the sewing room and bang out some projects. I have a blanket for Owen I need to finish. A apron for Rox that I need to sew. I'm going to get some fleece to sew up some easy diaper covers for Roxanne. I found a site to get some wool interlock fabric. Its pretty expensive for a yard but if I buy 10 it will be cheaper. I was thinking of getting 10 yards and selling off what I'm not using or posting some stuff up on etsy. I need to get my hustle on. Most people on etsy are selling wool interlock for $12 to $30 a yard. Well I'm running for now.

More stuff I'm working on...
I've been working on a ton of projects for friends. NOTE: I'm using pinterest to keep track of all the online patterns I like. Follow me on pinterest http://pinterest.com/plpinkinsa/pins/ I've taken pics of all the stuff I've sewn so far but I need to get off my butt and get them off my camera. Until then, its my crappy iphone pics. So I did turn Ivy's bustle dress into a skirt because I jacked it up beyond belief. My aunt said she wore a size 6 so I adjusted the pattern 2 sizes like I had read online. AND lets just say I could have probably fit in it. I didn't take any pics. My aunt did and I accidentally deleted it. OH WELL. Here is my other princess Alysia in her baptismal headband I made. Isn't she PUUUUURTY!
Ok then I ordered some Packers fabric to make Owen a blankey, which I haven't gotten to yet because I need to lay it down to trim and I'll probably have to go to my moms for that cuz no room at nans. I did make him some pants out of some left overs. http://www.made-by-rae.com/2010/10/free-raes-basic-newborn-pant-sewing-pattern/ I used another one of Rae's patterns. She is AWESOME!
Here's Lily's dress that I forgot to post

A friend of mine is planning on cloth diapering her baby that is due in November and she's asked me to help her, since I can sew. I've been doing tons of research and most people say the best way to go is wool. She's bought some PUL covers. I tried a cover pattern and I messed it up so much! I didn't use PUL because it's not sold locally, but I asked for waterproof material and she showed me some stuff called baby dry. Not sure how well that is going to work. Since I gave up on that, I found a pattern to make some cute fleece or recycled wool pull ons. I went to 3 thrift/resale shops during lunch and NOTHING!! I'm going to try the resale shop at home and maybe get lucky?? If not, I might just break down and order some wool interlock. I for sure want to pick up some fleece and make a couple in each size. Now I'm on a mission for wool sweaters!!

Everyone says he looks like Mike when he was a baby. I think he does too. SO hopefully we'll have good looking kids. LOL I started sewing some dresses just cuz. I made one from my friend's granddaughter who was also recently born! Lets see, Owen was born on Friday, Jaidin on Weds?, and Lily on Friday! Jaidin was only 5 lbs!! I made her the Itty Bitty baby dress. It only took 1/2 yard of fabric that I got to make bows with. Then Mike said Lily needed one so I used some Michael Miller Skull fabric I had to make her one. Then I made Alicia a apron top. I've also made a couple of headbands. AND I made Lena a bustle skirt. WOW I've been really behind on blogging. Please excuse my pics because I gave mike my droid since he broke his and took my uncle's old iphone 3gs. Where's a blogger app for iphone?? I had one of my mytouch and I loved it. Guess I'm going back to andorid soon!!!

I tried to make a ruffle bustle dress for ivy and had to enlarge it but it came out way to big. I dunno wth so I tried to fit the top and jacked it up so I'm going to wait until I have the patience to frog and make into a skirt. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
Ok so I saw this site a while back https://rocalabs.com/order/orderform.aspx while looking thru youtube videos at lunch. I've been really frustrated about ending my food cravings. I was thinking about forking up all the cash to go back to http://www.internetmedicalclinics.com/ IMC. They keep getting more and more expensive and I HATE all the shots. Needles + Cissy = :( So this shit is pretty expensive also but cheaper than IMC. BUT you have to buy 4 months total! I needed a sample so I found 1 month on ebay for $100. SCORE! I got it in, printed out all the instructions from the Roca Labs website and started on Monday. VERY EAGER. I got my mixing cups and spoons ready and got some flavored packets. I didn't feel like getting crystal light so I got Hawaiian Punch, strawberry Lemonaid! YAY! The power is very, how to you sayyyyyy, light? I filled up my cup with the correct amount of water, added my power and shook. AND WTF I came out with HUGE clumps, lumps, clops of formula. BUT muthafka I dished out $100 on this shiz so best believe I downed it (chewed) it and drank gulps of water in between chews. It took me an hour or so to get it all down because I kept gagging in between. I took a reinforcement dose right before I went home from work. That was HERRIBLE also.
DAY 2: Just as bad. I sent customer support an email and surprisingly they were terribly fast responders. They sent me a whole list of ways to mix up the formula and different ideas. THANKS! http://www.rocalabs.com/ServiceResponse.aspx?id=88&id1=&id2=&id3=&sid=8591 Here is the response they sent. I saw that you can mix in yogurt! HELLO THERE! I wanted to try that. I mean no harm in trying it. I could just do another day of gagging, or try something new. I was still feeling STARVED and my great aunt was not doing good. Went to the hospital right after work, and stayed until about 7 pm. Then said fuck it and hit up subway on my way home because I didn't want to cook. I got the buffalo chicken sub with light ranch, olives and pickles. It was good.
DAY 3: I went to HEB before I headed to work and grabbed some yogurt. Regular and whipped style. Well, I started with the whipped. BAD IDEA. When you mix the whipped Yogurt it goes flat and I had a huge blob. Was I going to waste this blob, I think not! I got another thing of yogurt and would eat a spoon of glob mixed with a spoon of regular. For my evening mixture, I used a thing of regular yogurt. I was still getting blobs. Maybe I'll transfer the yogurt to my mixing cup next time?? I was still starving when I got home. I drank water and the book said your thirst might be getting mixed with hunger but sista was hungry. Nan made cornbread, beans, and sliced ham. Of course nothing ever matches with her. So I ate 2 slices of corn bread. 1 serving of beans and 2 slices of ham. I went to bed hungry because Mike's sleeping pattern is jacked so he is always eating supper right as I'm laying down for bed and I can smell food as I'm trying to fall asleep.
TODAY = DAY 4! This morning there was no way I wanted to gag for an hour while trying to get this crap down. SO I would mix in a little powder and stir and this took me FOREVER!! I added more water just so it wasn't as jellish. I only took a small dose, because in the evenings I've been in the bathroom all night. Which is crazy because I'm fine all day. Maybe the 2nd dose is too much. SO I'm going to take 2 small doses = 1 large dose. I mixed with some fruit punch drink nan had in the fridge this morning. I chugged the mixture along with water. I was still feeling hungry like the wolf at 11 am. I had a progresso soup in my desk so I figured that would help because its mostly broth but the favor and veggies would help last me. So I drank my soup. Around 2 PM, hungry again. I ate a couple flat bread crisps and was STILL houngry! Figured I'd take the rest of my dose to help out. This time I mixed in a slim fast. I kept reading all these posts and thinking maybe I'm just not shaking hard enough?? So I threw in my other half of power and shook the shit out of my mixture! I still had some small clumps but definitely not as bad as the past couple of days. Taste, not that bad but no freakin flavor at all. I want to try to mix with juice tomorrow to kind of fill out what I like best. I'm still working on drinking. It usually takes me an hour or so to finish a mixture because I'm chugging 2 to 3 glasses of water along with and running to the rr in between to pee. My stomach has also been feeling weird. Kind of sore and queasy? Hopefully I can get down a routine and perfect dosing. I saw that some people are freezing their mixture to make a slushie type drink. I was also thinking of throwing everything in the blender as a last resort tot he clumps.

Material scraps...Ideas
I had a ton of scrap material left over and I looked online at a ton of things that don't require much. I decided to do a paci holder and a bungee sippy cup cord. I used these tutorials:

I think this is it for now. Waiting for my skull material to get started on my shopping cart covers. I've been trying to figure out how to take pics of my covers when I'm done...Since I live by an HEB, the apartment complex across the street always has HEB shopping carts by the trash bin. I will consider them trash, and use my uncle's pick up truck to bring one home for a photo shoot and then take it back. LMFAO is that wrong?? Ah oh well.

I went fabric crazy...
So here are the fabrics I bought yesterday. I hope to get some shopping cart covers made and posted on etsy. I will probably make coordinating paci holders and/or sippie cup bungee cords. Not sure yet. I am also wanting to make a faux chenille blanket. I've seen a couple on etsy but not that many at all and they are crazy expensive. So I was thinking maybe a faux chenille lovey? We'll see what I can come up with when I get my fabrics in. My niche is going to be skulls/punk. Fabrics are Michael Miller who has awesome shiz. Alexander Henry is also AWESOME, and his design that I got is the killer/kawaii cupcakes.
There are a ton of other fabrics I would like. Just going to try out a couple first to see how things go. Hopefully good...?

Sewing is my new obsession!
Right before I moved out of my apartment I got back into sewing. My aunt gave me a brother xl2600 which is alot better than my rinky dink kenmore machine. It has like 20 something stitches...The madness!! I upcycled this onesie/romper for one of my first projects. Wasn't too great. LOL Now if I can only find someone to wear it! I mean it wasn't like my fat ass was going to fit into a size medium shirt again anyway.

Not the best picture taker either. FML! So then we found out that BOTH of Mike's brothers have babies on the way. Lilynn and Owen. 2 weeks apart. 1 baby shower down, where I was asked when I was next, since I was the only girlfriend out of the brothers not preggo. I made Lily this diaper cake. The invitations were hello kitty, so I went off of that. I don't really know Cody's girlfriend well so I wasn't sure how she would receive the cake but thank God she loved it!

I also did some heat transfers to some onesies I had and never used. I did hello skully and a hello kitty storm trooper. I didn't get a pic of the 2nd one...

I now have to do a cake for Chris and Mandi's baby boy Owen. I'm keeping my design a secret. She is having 3 + baby showers so I wasn't really sure what to get her. My friend wanted to make a shopping cart cover and I was helping her pick out fabric and find a pattern. I thought, hey I'll make one for Mandi! So I grabbed the mccalls patter at Hancock fabrics memorial day sale. Mandi likes owls so I found some really cute boyish owl fabric. I've made ALOT with it and plan to do some more with the scraps. I've been a sewing fool for the past week! I've been killing the internet looking for badass free patterns and I've found alot that I would like to try. I will try to link some on here but this is a really good site that will search several other sites. http://craftgossip.com/ Here are the projects for Owen that I've made, these are a surprise so...
First we have the swaddler. Which was a BITCH! Here's where I got the pattern...http://cdn.makezine.com/make/craft/2010/04/lotta_snuggler_pattern.pdf

Ok so the worst part of the pattern for me was that we live in TX and this baby is due in July. SO there was no way in HELL that I was going to use a fleece lining. I found some discount $1 stretch cotton that was super soft. Well, when I had to sew the lining it, the corners rolled over a tad, but no biggie. I did stitch a ontop of the main fabric but only because I wanted to try out these fancy stitches. SO SUE ME! Now the worst of the worst was sewing on the velcro! UGH never again!

I used some of the left over cotton from the swaddler for this.
Then I made a baby sling. It seemed simple but the seam is a bitch. Mine came out a little twekos but oh well. I used the cotton as a lining for the inside of the sling. It said to use outside decor fabric which seemed super rough to me. I went ahead a used brown duck cotton. Julian, my little cousin, is modeling the sling with his monster. LOL I love how my hammock is on the desk behind him. HA!

OH OH and I almost forgot the most important thing!! DUH the thing that started all the things. TUN TUN TUN...The shopping cart cover! McCalls M55721 which I got for .99 cents on sale! YES! I used batting, which some people do not. The only thing I used out of the pattern was the part for the cover. It had little pockets and a bag and bias tape. I bought the bias tape. I made the strap, which was a dumb idea because this weekend I saw that the sell the straps at walmart for like $2 ALREADY made!! IDIOT! The button holes were the hardest part. Apparently my machine had a button foot and I was determined to try it out. It took me 2 evenings of messing with it to finally figure it out. Other than that it was really easy. I added on 2 loops to hook toys on.

I plan on making a couple for my etsy and add who knows what else. My niche is going to be punk. Of course there are tons of people selling shopping cart covers but not many with skulls or anything hardcore. I found some bad ass skull material that no one else on etsy was using and I also couldn't resist on some cupcake material! Needless to say I spent a little over $40 on www.fabric.com which wasn't bad because I got 6 YERDS of designer fabric plus free shipping, plus $10 off. My real total was over $50. Round of applause. I will need to pick up batting, bias tape, straps, and a back color. I'll post up pics when I'm done.
I didn't get a pic of the 2nd one...

so far so good
With hcg alternative, got down to about 192. When i switched to low fat diet, i went up to 195 right away. Its sunday morning and ive weighed myself...back to 192. So ive lost 3 lbs this week with just diet and 2 sessions of my sauna suit. I should probably do one more session tonight. As for right now, my grandma and i are going to plant a fruit n veggie garden.

Poor Stoley
My dog Stoley has had a bad skin problem ever since we moved back home. I'm not exactly sure what it is and I just hate putting frontline on her with her skin so bad. She literally scratches her skin until it bleeds. Her hair is falling out and I just don't know what to do. I wish I wasn't fixing to get laid off so that I could take her to the vet to see what the deal is. I just hate her suffering. I'm almost positive that its allergies but not really sure what to do about it. I was thinking about getting her hypoallergenic food, organic. But really, do the prices need to be that outrageous. A small bag for over $20! Geeze, I'd rather make her veggies and chicken myself. I did some research online for homeopathic ways to help with her skin problems. I found a small company from Austin, TX on ebay called Enchanted Waters. I ordered her a $7 bar of organic soap that is supposed to help with the fleas and hopefully calm her skin. I've also been using Aveeno oatmeal soak. Instead of making a bath, I add a small amount of water to make it into a paste, lather it on her skin and wrap her up in a blanket. I leave it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse. That is helping with the itching. I also got her the oatmeal body wash.

hcg diet day 4
Shit. So this diet has been screwing me up. Ive been dizzy, light headed. And had massive headaches all week. Not to mention stomach pains. I got so sick of it yesterday that i was like fuck it. I cant take the hunger any more so i ate 2 pieces of pizza for dinner and share a bag of popcorn w my lil cousin later n the evening. Oh and i had 2 mini pickles w my popcorn. in turn, all of this gave me the runs. I weighed myself this morning for the hell of it! And i am 192.4, down a little over 5 lbs. I think the 500 cals is a little too extereme. I do want to work out and there is no way n hell that i could if i did 500 cals. I think im going to experiment this week. With the drops and more food comined w workout. I want to add snacks in between meals such as an apple or veggie. Cuz i do not think that starving myself is helping. I might add in some beef jerky too and jus try to still stay away from oils and sugars but .not starve myself. Needless to say from thursday to today, in 3 days, ive lost a little over 5 lbs. I hope that tweeking this diet will still help me to continue n my weightloss. Oh its mothers day and my moms outta town. I have my little cousin and have no idea when his dad is picking him up. Guess ill cook this freek breakfast.

Supposed to be going to the movies tonight to watch THOR. I will eat a pickle, while watching and listening to people eat buttered popcorn and nachos. MMMmmm

OMG 1st day of Phase 2
Its my first day of phase 2 and I have a massive head ache. I'm drinking some black coffee (UGH) to try and get rid of it but I'll have to see how it goes. I think I need to get some sleeping meds b/c I'm having a hard time falling asleep. I was feeling really hungry this morning, not so much this afternoon. I just saw a couple posts on "new" diet protocols. Which includes a 800 calorie instead of 500. I think I will stick to the original plan. I am hoping to see some results tomorrow because I am getting hungry again!
Breakfast: Black tea, peach flavor
Lunch: Chicken Breast, Spinach w/ a drab of strawberry vinaigrette dressing
Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing
Ingredients
6 Strawberries
1 T. apple cider vinegar
1 T. lemon juice
Dash of salt
black pepper
I used true lemon packets instead of actual lemon juice and nu salt which is a salt alternative. I added a lot more than 1 t of apple cider. It made enough for a couple of days??

Starting a new diet and other things
Well its been a while since i've been on here. I've taken a small break from knitting since winter is over! I picked back up on sewing and crafting. I've made a couple of flower clips for spring. Posted them on etsy but not much sold...Damn the luck. I started a new diet yesterday called the HCG diet. I got these drops from Amazon which had a decent rating.
http://www.amazon.com/TGL-Nutrition-Homeopathic-Diet-Drops/dp/B004QTT29Q/ref=sr_1_2?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1304531365&sr=1-2
4 star rating...Also joined a forum to get in depth info.
http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums/forum.php
Of course I didn't realize it wasn't just a diet, specific food and drops. NO NO NO, it's alot more. WTF? Really? UGH. I guess I'm going to stick with it and see what happens. OH and no alcohol, no beer either. FML. We'll see how that goes because I'm used to drinking every weekend. BUT weight loss is more important for me right now. It also calls for no oil or alcohol in any personal products that you use. I already use mineral make up but no mascara?? I ordered some mineral mascara.
The drops I got have alcohol in them. I read several things AFTER I got my drops in. A couple of sites said that anything with alcohol is fake. Which there are 22 reviews on amazon of the product working. I've also read that homeopathic drops are a fluke but again, 18 positive reviews on amazon.
I picked up some b12 drops from HEB for like $5. Right now I'm on day 2 of the loading stage of the diet. I can't wait to be off. Rarely do I eat alot so it's been really hard. The more I eat the more tired I get. SO red bull has been a help. Not really sure what I'll do once I cant drink those anymore. Usual weight loss is .5 to 2 lbs a day. Once off the stage 2 of the diet, you have a no carb or starch diet for a couple of weeks. I plan on going back to my Size 0 pills during that stage. I think I will take my BP pills while one stage 2 of the low calorie diet since apparently its hard for people to poo and if you've take BP, you know the poo flows freely.
http://www.tonic-life-products.com/
I get the Size 0 and BP from a women in town that sells them. The website seems more steep. My dealer (LOL) sells Size 0 for $30 and BP for $20. She said that a month on the pills, you will not see results until your body gets totally cleansed. But I lost I think, 5 or 6 lbs in my first month and then stopped the pills because I got really sick. Never got back into them after I felt better. I'm looking for a more rapid weight loss and using the pills to keep it up.
I also got a sauna suit! lmfao! It looks crazy but I think it'll aid in my overall loss along with sea clay wrap.
http://www.privatesauna.com/
It's no longer sold on that site but you can get in on ebay for $39.99. I got the sea clay off ebay a while back and I can't find the seller online anymore. The clay works really well. Just haven't used it in a while because it gets really messy. Its better to do in the garage where the clean up is easy. Unles you want to sit in the tub for 30 minutes. I plan on posting my progress on this whole diet journey. I have 3 weddings to attend in the fall. I am a brides maid in one of them. AND I also have my 10 year class reunion. I've gained about 60 lbs since high school and I hope to have at least 20 to 30 lost by october.
I am at 197 and I want to be at around 140, I would really like to be less but i'm trying to be realistic! FUR REALS. A couple of years ago I got down to somewhere in the 170s and back into a size 12. I'd really like to get back into those size 12s again...I bought a LaRoq skirt I'd like to wear because I could barely get into it when I bought it. Thinking it would give me motivation to loose a little more weight. OH WELL.
Tomorrow I start phase 2 of the diet. 500 calories...Hopefully I will be able to stay wake all day!
